Spring Break in the Sunshine

Cameron got his hair cut yesterday, he no longer looks like Bozo the Clown.

Carson did not want to wear this Easter outfit but I won!

Sophie being silly with her buddy, Dresden.

What is it about sunshine that is so wonderful? I feel like I've been hibernating and now I'm ready to go outside and play. We enjoyed spring break this year with an Easter egg hunt, seeing "Horton Hears a Who" (although I spent about 1 hour of it in the hall with Cameron so I don't know if it was good or not), fun time with family, and a day at Wheeler Farm. Sophie also lost her first tooth. What a weekend!

The Clegg Compound

Yes, we live a stone's throw from Rich's parents on the so-called "Clegg compound". This actually rules! I was a little leery of moving so close to my in-laws, but it has proven to be a lot of fun. One of the highlights is that we're always close by to see family that are visiting. This weekend, Kevin and Camille and their kids were here with their new baby, Gracie. Then Rich's other brother Alan and fam came too. Diane and her family made a couple of appearances. It was a nonstop party! The kids played hard for three straight days and I actually got away to eat out and shop. I love my sisters-in-law and Rich's sisters. We get along great and have shared a lot. Here are a few pics. I brushed up on my Guitar Hero skills too!

Classic words by Sophie...

"I hate Stake Conference. I wish they'd just do a puppet show!"

Superwomen

The Church is great for so many reasons. Today, as I went to our monthly YW Presidency meeting, I realized that I had made 3 really great friends. In any other setting, I don't think these friendships would have been formed. All four of us have very differing backgrounds, ages, kids, and interests. The only thing that really ties us together is the Gospel and our callings. However, by spending time together and serving, we've come to know each other's talents and strengths. We confide in each other and bounce ideas off each other. We laugh and cry together. We have shared intimate spiritual experiences and laughed until our stomachs hurt. What wonderful examples they are of real people striving to be better everyday. I have come to know some of the most compassionate and valiant women out there!

I'm grateful for the networking and connections that the church offers us, so we can broaden our friendships and horizons. I love you Lynn, Vicki and Jill!

Family Fun

This weekend was so awesome! We spent all day Saturday at my uncle's property near Park City. Our day involved tubing, swimming, crafts and toys in the "kid's cabin", and eating out. These are the days memories are made of!
